200- AND 500-LEVEL YOGA TEACHER TRAININGS
DALLAS/FORT WORTH | CORPUS CHRISTI | RIO GRANDE VALLEY
The purpose of the YSOCC Teacher Trainings is to educate the Yoga Teacher in different areas that will awaken their inner knowledge and teach them to be able to tap into their own power and self-confidence so that they may be of the greatest service to the community which they serve. We give you opportunities to teach very early in your training in order for you to develop the skills to be a successful and confident teacher after completion of this training.
In order for a teacher to be skilled, they must have a foundational understanding of yoga philosophy, yoga history, and an understanding the science of asana practice, which includes but is not limited to asana alignment, biomechanics of the body, when and where modifications are needed, when to use verbal cues and when to use hands on adjustments, understanding the importance of breath, understanding the importance of sequencing, and working with injuries.
Each teacher is required to maintain a meaningful personal practice so that they may understand the importance of being a good and respectful student themselves. The aim is being authentic and always having the purest and highest intentions to embrace and empower all students. A great teacher meets the students where they are and encourages them from that point, and this is what we prioritize in all our teacher trainings.
The teachers who are trained in this program will learn to guide students to recognize and walk their edge while respecting their boundaries. Our teachers value authenticity, saying what they mean and meaning what they say. We believe the only way that teachers can guide others into alignment is by personally experiencing alignment. As such, we prioritize giving our teachers-in-training many opportunities to practice alignment in their lives, both on and off the mat.
Alignment occurs in the body form but it also requires us to be aligned in the way we live. It is from personal knowledge that the teacher teaches, so we foster deep personal development in our trainings. Teacher training is a transformational experience where you develop a deeper understanding of your body, mind and heart through yoga. Your life will evolve during your training, thereby empowering you to support the evolution of others.
You can expect to spend quite a bit of time with your lead trainer during your training. They will hold space for your, nurture your development, and guide you along your journey. Not all teacher trainings offer this high-touch environment. In fact, we've found that it is rare to experience this level of teachers in such a personal way. Our training is limited to small numbers, giving you access to grow in ways that you have never dreamed possible.
Are you ready for this life changing experience?
